Award for gifted clarinetist

The Realising Dreams Foundation approved an award in the USA after receiving an application from an exceptional clarinetist Angelo Ciriello. Angelo (17) is a gifted student at New World School of the Arts in Miami Florida.

His love of classical music and his talent for Clarinet has grown in recent years. Angelo has performed extensively with his school holding lead clarinetist positions and giving impressive solo performances.

He has also performed with the Florida All State Concert Band & Orchestra, Florida International University’s Clarinet Choir and narrowly missed being chosen to play with the Florida Grand Opera– not because of his talent, but because he was so young. This acclaim has fuelled his desire to become a professional clarinetist.

This year, Angelo has his sights set on auditioning for a place at a prestigious music college. However the competition will be fierce. His clarinets are worn and need repair and replacement if he is to showcase his playing at its best. Until now this was out of the reach of Angelo and his family.
The Realising Dreams Foundation was so impressed with his application, references and performance videos that we have stepped in to help purchase a much-needed new clarinet.

Angelo’s family has struggled to secure the funding needed to allow Angelo to take up opportunities like music festivals and summer courses. They have relied on previous crowdfunding and fundraising efforts and been very grateful to those who have supported Angelo is his dream.
The Realising Dreams Foundation is delighted to add its support and offer this award to Angelo. We look forward to playing a small part in his musical journey and feel sure Angelo will make the most of the opportunities coming his way.
